About Dr. Hurst

Darren Hurst, MD, is an established physician who is board certified in both vascular and interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology. He has more than 15 years of experience in the treatment of vascular disease and serves as the Director of Vascular and Interventional Associates located in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. 

Dr. Hurst received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then went on to complete both his residency and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Hurst has performed over 2,000 endovascular procedures and was one of the first physicians in the area to perform minimally invasive procedures to treat venous disease.

He is affiliated with St. Elizabeth Healthcare and is currently the group’s lead investigator for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored ATTRACT trial that is investigating deep vein thrombosis. Dr. Hurst has also published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals on the treatment and diagnosis of venous obstruction, deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism.

Over the years, Dr. Hurst has been awarded numerous “Top Doctor” awards from Cincinnati Magazine.
